A young couple who invited me to collaborate with them several years ago approached the transformation of their home gradually. The project unfolded over time according to their time constraints and as their needs and visual ideas evolved. We began with a previously missing wardrobe integrated into the bedroom space and with new custom-designed furniture for the living room. We then continued with the renovation of the already highly inadequate separate kitchen. The new layout, with generous storage capacity, was opened to the living area. A few years later we followed up with a renovation of the bathroom, which also included a redesign of the entrance hall and a home office / guest room.

 

The interior was photographed five years after the last construction work. It is visibly full of life and withstands, without harm, both its child and four-legged residents.

Byt ve vilovém domě v pražských Střešovicích mladí manželé, kteří mě před lety ke spolupráci přizvali, přestavovali postupně, dle svých časových možností a s tím, jak se formovaly jejich uživatelské potřeby a vizuální představy. Začali jsme chybějící šatnou vestavěnou do prostoru ložnice a novým, atypicky navrženým nábytkem v obývacím pokoji. Pokračovali jsme rekonstrukcí tehdy již velmi nevyhovující oddělené kuchyně. Novou sestavu, s velkorysými úložnými prostory, jsme otevřeli do centrálního obývacího prostoru. Po pár letech jsme pak navázali s přestavbou koupelny, ke které jsme přidali i vstupní halu a pracovnu.

 

Interiér jsme fotili po 5 letech od posledních stavebních prací. Je v něm viditelně živo a bez újmy odolává jak dětským, tak čtyřnohým obyvatelům.
